Ok – So I mentioned I like cakes… well, yesterday was a cake baking day and my daughter was such a helper! So, instead of cupcakes we switched it up and did Chocolate Cupcake Cones (the recipe is on the side of the Pillsbury Devils Food cake box:
- 1 (15.25oz) package cake mix
- 1 c water
- 1/2 c vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- ice cream cones (2 3/4in tall with flat bottoms)
Heat oven to 350. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Spoon 3 Tbsp batter into each cone (do not overfill.) Stand cones upright in muffin cups. Bake 25-28 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on wire rack. Frost and sprinkle.
Since we only had enough left over batter for 4 of these it made for a tasty dessert and we’ll be using the leftover frosting/cake for cake pops tonight!
